  2. How do you put something like that together? Is there a way we can get that list super-imposed on the lists from past years and decades with only the most popular songs of that time period?

    It’s amazing to me how the same tried and true songs hang in there year after year but they do. Some songs are just that good that people hear them and just want to dance. Sure you have new ones that slide in every year and some slide out but those same old songs are always there. (September, Play that funky music, Jive talkin, Shook me all night long, etc…those songs are old but yet they survive!!) A true testament to the talent of the artists that wrote and performed them.
